I am an Occupational Therapist with 22 years of experience. I have been married for 22 years to my highschool sweetheart, Chris. We have three children, Emily (17), Caleb (12), Luke (8), a dog, Amelia, and a turtle, Donatello. Basically, we are just one tent away from a circus! I have worked as a Director of Rehabilitation, served on the Board of Directors at the Meyer Center and currently serve as a Council Member for the Developmental Disabilities Council for South Carolina. As a mother of two children with disabilities, I am passionate about advocacy and inclusion of students with disabilities in school and community settings. I love to be outside, going to the beach, spending time with friends and chocolate!

Hello! My undergrad is in Math Education and I have a Masters in Counseling. My husband, Todd, and I have been married for 14 years. We have three kids and an energetic Labradoodle. Our middle child was born with Rett Syndrome and was diagnosed with Autism. After her diagnoses, we buried ourselves in research and sought to be an advocate with and for her. I currently serve on the South Carolina Advisory Council for Educating Students with Disabilities, where I serve as the co-chair of the Professional Development Committee. Our committee advises the Governor and the state Superintendent of Education on policy changes and improvements. Previously, I have served on the Board of Directors at the Meyer Center and actively participated in the Music Therapy task force in support of certification of Music Therapists in South Carolina. Now, for over a decade, I have been an active community volunteer in my children’s schools and I continue to advocate with and for my own child and the disability community. I love spending time with my family, hiking, chips and salsa and oreos.
