DISABILITY AWARENESS PROGRAMS
Our Disability Awareness Programs for Public Schools exist to foster a culture of inclusion through education and the development of relationships between students with and without disabilities.
Our Awareness Programs use education and experience to create a more disability-inclusive world.
Studies show that disability awareness programs benefit all students and positively impact relationships between students with and without disabilities. Our K-12 programming is available for general education and self-contained settings and highlights the definition of disability, disability history, assistive technology, careers, advocacy, and empathy.
WHY ARE DISABILITY AWARENESS PROGRAMS SO IMPORTANT?
By age 3, children notice physical disabilities. By age 4-5, children become fearful of differences.
