"​Building a Bridge to Special Education" is a training designed to support and equip parents, educators and professionals that support students with disabilities as they navigate IEPs and the education system. 

Do you know a student with an IEP? Do you feel overwhelmed and by special education options, the law and IEPs? Do you want to effectively advocate for the special education services students need?​

If you answered YES to any of the questions above, you are invited to attend the “Building a Bridge to Special Education” training. This training is designed for parents, educators and professionals that support students with disabilities.

DATES:

• Monday/Tuesday Evenings - VIRTUAL TRAINING
  • ​April 21 & 22, April 28 & 29 from 7:00pm-8:30pm
  • Attendees are expected to attend ALL four dates.
  • Training will be hosted virtually. Attendees will receive the virtual link at least 24 hours prior to the training.

COST: $60 - There are a LIMITED number of full scholarships that are available to any attendee!

• ​*Cost includes all four trainings dates, plus multiple digital resources and future support in our exclusive and private support group. We have scholarships available for anyone that needs to attend the training for FREE! When you register, check the box that you need a scholarship.

Instructors:
​Amy Hibbs & Allison Huffstutler

Amy, the mother of two children with disabilities, is an Occupational Therapist and Allison, also the mother of a child with a disability, is an educator and has a Masters in Counseling. Together, Amy and Allison have over 20 years experience navigating the school system and sitting at the IEP table. They are both graduates of "Partners in Policymaking" and have received hundreds of hours of training from top advocates, lawyers (including Pete Wright) and other professionals in regards to IEP law. Amy is on the Executive Committee of the SC Developmental Disabilities Council and Allison is the Vice Chair of the SC Advisory Council for Educating Students with Disabilities. In 2023, Amy and Allison were awarded the Respectable Award by Able SC for their innovative Disability Awareness Programs in schools.​
